Today
All by myself.

That way I can go to the stores only I want to go to.
Stay as long as I want browsing the sales or leave as soon as I check out.
I will be looking for something to wear for New Year's Eve and a little something for a friend coming to visit before Mardi Gras.
Plus, I need a few new tops...
Need!
I also want to run into the party store and pickup some goodies for New Year's Eve for us and the friends we will be celebrating it with.
See, I think about others too!:)
Y'all stay warm out there... It's C.O.L.D.

I feel the need...
The problem is... I can't decide which one I need.
Need not want. ;)

Mr. Nutcracker
I love him.
New to our home this year...
Even if the husband wasn't very pleased when I asked him to stop by the local gift shop and pick up my package.
Mr. Nutcracker wouldn't fit in my car since he is 6 feet tall.
Plus, I just didn't want to tell him about me having another MAN in my life. ;)
I placed him on the first landing on the staircase. When you walk in the front door through the foyer, Mr. Nutcracker looks like he is standing guard over the whole house.
Tootles!

Foyer
But I've never said I was a "great photographer".
;)
Forgive me for the photo... I just couldn't get a good picture.
The tree is new this year...
It is a Pre-lit 9 foot slender with light frosted ends.
I bought it at Hobby Lobby when it was only 40% off.
(Wish it would've been at least a 50% discount)
I decorated the tree with velvet poinsettias and nothing else but the bow topper... I am very happy with the way it turned out!
All around the the bottom and other areas of the foyer, I have live poinsettias, set in different heights & different sizes.
Lots and lots of live poinsettias!
New garland and decorations were added to the staircase this year. We put lighted garland on the staircase and topped it with velvet poinsettias to match the foyer tree. We also put some red 'foo-foo' throughout the garland to add pops of red to it.
Bows to match the tree topper were added to all the landings on the staircase...
It really "tops" it off! Get it? Tops it off!
;-)
I am very happy with the way the foyer and staircase turned out.
I'll add more pictures soon and I'll also post a picture of my new Nutcracker!
I love it.
